Wink

We must be top of the unlucky league.

1) A blatant offside goal allowed for Birmingham in the 3rd minute.
2) We hit the post twice.
3) David Dunn and others got p**sed off at being shown up by players earning less in a year than he does in a month.

We are still in administration, have had to sell most of our first team and are staring at relegation despite playing football like this.

Long live the Dons and give us some luck.

And I quote (from the previous post) "We must be top of the unlucky league"...

I tell you what is unlucky mate, and that is having your team dragged away from you by some ugly get-rich-quick ***ker, that's unlucky!

But after all the heartache, our newly formed club AFC Wimbledon (based very near Wimbledon, and not 70 miles away) are doing very well. Top of the league, played 26 games (won 25, drawn 1, lost 0) and today won 9-0 !!!!

And I quote again from the previous post "Long live the Dons and give us some luck" - Well, AFC is living proof of 'long live the Dons', and luck for all would be seeing Franchise FC fold!

Milton Keynes needs a FC! - Response 1
You had Milton Keynes City FC, but as no one bothered to go it just went bankrupt and dissappeared!!

Milton Keynes needs a FC! - Response 2
So you stole mine!

Milton Keynes needs a FC! - Response 3
So you brought one! One that has history and identity relating to another part of the country, where you don't live, where you weren't brought up, where you haven't been to plough lane, where you didn't celebrate winning the FA cup, need I go on.........

The fact is, Wimbledon FC still exists. They're going to get a brand new ground, (which they won't have to pay for) and so they're probably going to continue to exist.
If they'd stayed where they were, they almost certainly wouldn't exist by now.

I've been to a couple of the games in MK with some Wimbledon supporters from South London, all of whom have been Wimbledon supporters for 20 years plus, and they would rather Wimbledon continued to exist, and played in MK, than went bankrupt and ceased to exist altogether.

I think EVERYBODY would rather that Wimbledon had managed to sort out some way to stay where they were, but the fact is that they couldn't. The MK consortium gave Wimbledon a life-line, and it was the only option.
