Watching the Chelsea v Man U game and almost every time the camera is on a single player they ALWAYS spit

Even the keepers are doing it?

Cool

I don't tend to spit when I referee, but running does get a build up of saliva in your mouth for some reason.

Also this may be too much information for some people but....as an asthmatic, exercise usually induces an asthma attack in me, so to combat that I obviously have medication to prevent this. The medication opens up my airways which the asthma tends to want to close in order to prevent me from breathing. As well as this I get an excess build up of mucus in my lungs which the asthma also contributes to. This irritates my lungs causing a tickle and makes me cough a lot and eventually brings it up to my mouth. Now when faced with this....would you spit or swallow? LOL

I usually just take a sip of water from a bottle, swill my mouth around and spit that out. It doesn't look as bad.
