The Toon's climbing up the table
#1
Off the top of my head Mark, I don't know, but will look it up.
What I will say is Robson's spent £63.8 million on 25 players since he took over (remember that when he complains as he regularly does about having limited resources) - only 12 of which are still at the Club, and only 2 are guaranteed their places (both are injured - Bellamy and Woodgate).
Most of the 13 that've left, went on Frees or for nominal fees. Any time you want to take Sven as Manager and get rid of Ranieri, please let me know. I'll personally drive down and collect him, and bring him back to replace Robson.
I know you don't post much, but if you still pop into:
www.thefinalwhistle.net
you'll know I've been harping on about this for some time.
I'm assuming your point was something along the lines of, "it's not how much money, but how you spend it"? If so, point taken, because Robson's wasted most of ours.
Cheers
Mike

mike got to agree about the team selection why the fek did he pick viana as an attacking midfielder/striker i don't doubt that he's a good player if played in the right possition(center midfield), but he not the most attacking player. should have played lua lua or solano with amiobi or even robert center forward and viana left wing(like pete ). robson said after the game that he played viana to counter motu?(sp) should have played his own tackticks and not trying to play to chelsea's game.
as for the sending off yes he was the last man but in fairness was'nt going directly at goal, and as for the dive, he should have got straight 10's with all that tuck and pike

Sory mate 1st division teams dont scare us.
You's have had your best season ever and we have had our worse in ages and where on the same points.
And our old man striker is better than yours

Nice win.
Much better performance, against a side who weren't great (or even much good if the truth be told), but at least they came to play a game, and not just defend and be boring... They didn't try to kick the **** out of us either. Well done to Portsmouth; kept trying to the end!
Decent fans too - good turnout and plenty of singing.
Cheers

First real 'bad' performance of the season, hence the drubbing
re: the fans , the toon army are easily the 2nd best bunch of supporters in the premiership.

I'm fine toon man just some Jobs worth pushing his luck with a half pi$$ed 17 stone angry Geordie.
Relised he couldnt win so tried to get the copers involved. Still managed to get in the Newcastle arms for three pints before last ordrs.
