Wayne Rooney capped a fine week with the opening goal in Everton's 2-1 win over Newcastle, keeping alive his side's Champions League dreams and doing severe damage to the Tynesiders' title ambitions.

Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh dear, dear, Oh dear,

A 17 year old kills off such a BIG BIG club!!!

Just like BORO did a couple of weeks ago - championship material?? I THINK NOT!!!

If the Toons had the BORO defence he wouldn't have got through - want to buy a Southgate?????

I'd say (along with most of the Media and Press), that it was Neale Barry's "contribution" (or lack of), that's put us out of the title race.

Still, 8 points clear of Everton and 16 clear of the "Mighty" Smogs, who I note had 10,000 less fans turn up to watch them go up to 10th, than Sunderland got to see them stay 20th. Tells you more about Boro fans than anything...

Cheers Pete!

"I don't see Middlesbrough challenging for a Champions League spot"

Games in First Class European Competition

Newcastle United FC = 70

Sunderland AFC = 02

On Zero are such local Clubs as:

Hartlepool Utd FC, Darlington FC, Scarborough FC, Northallerton Town FC, Billingham Synthonia, Norton & Stockton Ancients, Marske Harriers, Middlesbrough FC, Middlesbrough FC (1986), Yarm Boys...

Cheers!

We're disappointed that we're (probably) not going to win the EPL this Season, and are currently 3rd.

Boro fans are delighted their in 10th spot (never seen so many at work, so excited... ). I think that says it all about the difference between the Clubs.
