Unhappy

Could it have something to do with a death within the clubs Hall of Legends??

Typical of a Toon to have little respect!!

Tuesday 12th November 2002, I seem to remember that Aston Villa Reserves got a good thrashing by Boro reserves!!

Villa are no threat to a BORO team with its senior side out, the fact that they scraped a result against the youth team we had to put out is hardly a great result!!

Wink

Cut the crap Pete you know that Villa will dominate the BORO regardless of reserves or full team.

This is taking the pi55 now though don't you think Pete? How many more excuses are boro going to find before they admit that they are running from the match cos of injuries?????

"death within the clubs Hall of Legends"

Who's died? Maybe some of the people who lost money in the Boro Bankruptcy of '86? Still lots around who haven't been paid...

Besides, if it was a genuine reason, you know we'd pay due respect. Stop trying to dodge the issue, when a real "Hall" has said today that it's Middlesbrough FC that are failing to pay respect...

Taken from www.teamtalk.com:

Hall calls for Boro apology

Newcastle chief Sir John Hall has demanded an apology from Middlesbrough after seeing the second game in a week called off due to bad weather.

Tuesday night's reserve-team derby at The Riverside was postponed barely an hour before kick-off to make it two in a week after last Saturday's Tees-Tyne derby was called off more than 24 hours in advance.

And the latest postponement has angered Toon officials, leading Magpies president Hall to accuse Boro of having a lack of respect for their North-East rivals and he says that he wants a formal apology.

"To call one game off is bad enough but when you postpone two in a week, it ceases to be a joke," said Hall.

"I think Steve Gibson (Boro's chairman) and Keith Lamb (Boro's chief executive) owe Newcastle United an apology at the very least.

"The forecast was for frost and there was the opportunity to prepare properly," he added.

"You have to wonder whether this is down to bad management or down to Boro treating us with disrespect."

Grow up! Boro are a bunch of small time, cheating bankrupts who never pay their debts or care about the community. Where's the access road they said they'd build as a condition of planning permission being granted for the Riversh!te Stadium? The access (or lack of), is dangerous. They couldn't even get an Ambulance through to save the guy who had a heart attack a couple of years ago. Poor bloke died, because Gibson and Lamb wanted to save a few bob. If he'd been a Toon fan (or a Mackem) at a home game, he'd still be alive today.

Shame on the so called Boro...

Question

Care to put your money where your gob is??

Lets say £500 that BORO does NOT go down? If they stay up you pay me £500 and vice-versa??

Now I KNOW you can buy your street in Toonland for £500 but its pocket money for us BORO lads

Villa will NEVER reach the quality of BORO!!

I said, "relegation form". You're obviously worried... and very angry. Are you one of the many on Teesside who lost money or their homes when the "mighty" Boro went bust in '86? I feel sorry for those that did.

Anyway, I don't bet (not even on the Lotto), so have to decline your "kind" invitation. As for putting money where the "gob is". Any chance Middlesbrough FC (1986) will finally settle the debts of the old Club, as they agreed they would with the Football Association? Thought not... Shame they cr@pped on their own fans and others in the area. Not much respect there.

As for me and "Toonland". Had you read some of the Posts relating to the recent cheating by the "Mighty" Boro, you'd know I don't live there anymore. I was dragged kicking and screaming from Tyneside when I was a child, to live in N Yorks. Close enough to the Riversh!te Stadium, to know what the weather was like last Friday morning (and afternoon) though, and to know there was no problem at all (same on Wednesday evening as I passed it on the way home from work at 18:15pm...).

As for Villa never reaching the quality of Boro? I hope not, as Aston Villa are a fine Club, with a long, distinguished history in top flight domestic Football, as well as on the great European stage. Middlesbrough FC have won... The North Yorkshire Senior Cup.

Cheers! (But not a bottle of Broon on your part I guess...).

Typical Boro fan Pete - unable to read. I said "relegation form", not that you'd BE relegated. That's twice you've missed the same point. Oh dear...

You're the one that keeps going on about relegation. As I said before - you must worried. Put it this way, Sir Bobby and the Lads aren't worrying about it at the Toon, and neither are the Fans!

Cheers

Mike

Boro vs Toon Reserves tonight, was called off 60 mins before kickoff! Not sure why, but I work 7 miles from the Riversh!te Stadium, and conditions were fine - a tad cold, but fine.

What is it with this so called Football Club...???

Cheats! Cheats! Cheats!

Quality of Boro? HAHAHA..that quality consists of half of Villas castoffs...lmao...yes toonman, Villa have a great history and are 1 of the founding members of the football league structure of today but unfortunately that counts for bugger all in the present...lol
C`mon the Geordies!! lets hope you have the staying power for the championship so it doesnt become to predictable.
