Boro Running Scared!
#1
Yet again, the Club that takes any excuse to postpone a Match they know they're going to lose, has copped out of playing!
Why else postpone a game when the pitch is perfect, 28 hours before Kickoff??? Why else fail to attempt to clear fallen snow from the inside of the ground when there's still 28 hours to Kickoff??? Why else fail to ask for grit to spread on the road immediately around the ground, when there's still 28 hours to Kickoff...???
The forecast for today was quite good, and unless the conditions change rapidly in the next 3.5 hours, it's going to be a lovely day! It's sunny and the snow is melting.
Yesterday evening, Boro fans rang in to the early evening Phone In on Century Radio, to complain and accuse their Club of bottling it - running scared - chickens - cheats.
Still, when Middlesbrough FC feel their ready to take on Newcastle Utd, we'll be ready and waiting...
Cheers
Mike

The Premier League have launched an inquiry into the premature postponement of the Match! Bet they get away with it this time though; can't see points being docked...

I`m less than 30 miles away, and there`s no snow at all left here this morning. Plus, it`s not like visiting supporters are travelling 300 miles, we`re less than half an hour away.
It`s amazing what a 5-2 home defeat will make some clubs do. Would they have been so keen to postpone it if they`d beaten Villa 5-2 the other night?? I doubt it.

You're right. Most will be pretty handy for the ground.
I'm about 10 miles away in N Yorks and most of the snow's gone. I drove past the Riverside yesterday at about 9:30am and again at 3:30 pm and the A66 (plus surrounding roads) were fine.
Cheats!
