For ruining the club I support and have supported for so many years.
The once mighty Aston Villa.
Thank you for destroying the team, ensuring that no top flight managers would touch is with a barge pole, using the club for making money, - the shares are sh1te atm, but do you care????
As for the "Doug Ellis stand" the only two things I would want to **** on more are City and YOU

'Deadly' Doug: I'll Spend Money To Get Top Striker
24 Nov 2000
Aston Villa chairman 'deadly' Doug Ellis has revealed that he is prepared to get out the chequebook to finance the signing of a top quality striker. Ellis' comments come after he received criticism from Villa fans would believed that he didn't want to spend the money to bring in world class players.
This week Villa had a bid of £8million rejected by Celta Vigo for their South African international striker Benni McCarthy. McCarthy was the club's number one target in their search for a striker to replace the injured Belgian star Luc Nilis.
Ellis said: "I don't need seducing to come around to the belief of the manager who believes that spending to land a top striker now could help us secure a place in Europe and the Champions League. "
"I'm prepared to invest. The money is there. We will find the money for the player on the list he has given me of 13 strikers. One of these players on the list has four stars against his name, two of them have three stars and one has two stars. "
"I'm hoping we can announce sooner rather than later that we have signed an exciting striker. I want success for Aston Villa. I want us to be in the Champions League."
Ellis explained that he is worried that transfer fees might be abolished in the near future, leading to a cautious approach before spending vast somes of money. He said: "I decided on September 10, the day after Luc Nilis broke his leg at Ipswich, that we had to get someone in to replace him and a lot of work has been done by a lot of people. "
"But I also represent England on FIFA and from what I can establish we are reasonably confident that the deadline for deciding the future of the transfer system will be extended after January 1."
Ellis revealed that manager John Gregory and the club's scouts have been scattered all over the world eyeing potential purchases. He said: "On Thursday the manager and four of his team went to different matches around Europe to look at some of the players on the list he has drawn up. Rest assured that everything is being done to try to bring someone in of the right quality. "
"The list includes players from Belgium, France, Italy, Germany, Holland, Spain, Turkey, Portugal, Argentina and Brazil - and all of them have been looked at."
SELL, SELL, SELL, that is all we ever see

Gregory set for Ellis showdown
28 December 2000
Aston Villa chairman Doug Ellis is set for a behind-closed-doors showdown with manager John Gregory after the latest insurrection in the ranks.
The Midlands club have already been hit by players, including England international defender Gareth Southgate, suggesting there is a lack of ambition at the club.

Now, in a new blow to Ellis's Villa Park empire, Gregory has publicly questioned just where the club is heading.
Villa followed an impressive 2-1 win at Leeds United on the weekend before Christmas with a 1-0 home defeat by Premiership leaders Manchester United, and after the reversal Gregory questioned the club's ability to compete with the elite.
"We're stuck in our ways," blasted Gregory. "We are expected to compete with the big boys, but we don't match them financially.
"There's no reason why we shouldn't be aiming for the Champions League. But we need the ammunition for the job, which requires a 20-man first-team squad and not 16.
"The chairman thinks we're like Manchester United - but acts small. We have to put up with that.
Doug Ellis is 'furious' over Gregory's remarks (Allsport)
"He's stuck in a time warp, which does make things difficult. I'm kicking and screaming trying to drag us forward, but it's hard."
It brought a swift riposte from Ellis, who said: "I am furious with what has been said, but as far as I am concerned it is a matter I will deal with privately."
Meanwhile Villa may have to wait two weeks before getting the work permit to unleash new £9.5million signing Juan Pablo Angel in the Premiership.
The Colombian international hitman, who is joining from Boca Juniors, was hoping to face Leicester City on Saturday.
But a Christmas hold-up means a possible delay with Angel's likely debut against Liverpool on January 13

You are right he's drained the life out of the club and it needs to be sorted now before you end up in the nationwide.

In all honesty, it will probably need us to fall into the Nationwide for enough action to be taken to get him out.
Villa is half the club it used to be
Whilst Ellis remains, the club has little positivity to look forward to

know how u feel losing to the Blues as Leeds did the same, BUT having seen their last few results and watched them play they aint that bad, and now they have beat u lot it does make me feel better in our defeat.

Losing to Blues is more traumatic than losing to any of the Premiership teams no matter whether it be Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United or Leeds.
Blues are our real rivals, the other Birmingham side (maybe, one day, WBA will get there ) our local derby.
It means a lot to us!!!!
Like the Manchester derbies.
This defeat is bad. Wait till we meet them at Villa park though!!!!

Will be pretty devastating too as my birthday is soon after the fixture, so it will either make my birhtday or ruin it!!!!!
Unfortunately, unless I am very lucky, I will be unable to get to the match
March 1st (if the website I looked at is correct) 2003!!! Bring it on!!
