Anybody who has tried walking around in those sorts of temperatures knows that the England team did the right thing.
Can't stand the whiners who want blood and guts every match. We survived the "group of death" some others did not !
bring on the Danes - so we can reaaly worry ! ! !

As I said yesterday, they went out to play for a draw, and second place in the table. That way they get to play Denmark (North Europeans) in a night match rather than Senegal (African) in the middle of a blinding hot afternoon. Which game would you rather play in! I thought it was a brilliantly professional display.
The best game ever? No, Euro '96 against Holland, that was the best game England have ever played, followed closely by the game when Gazza stuffed the Jocks.

Yes its 3:30pm their time - bollox
But, as you say - a hatful of goals expected!!
Could well be the game of the Tournament - Brazil aim to score more than the opposition - lets hope Owen, Beckham, Scholes can get amongst them!!

Hey
What a waste of money the Engerland team and the english FA spending all that money sending those pre madonnas all the way over to Japan to be Average.
The english team have not played well at all.
But the Scots have saved all that money and are investing it in a youth policy
Three new kids start at a new school.
The teacher asks little david what his dad does in front of the class----- What does your dad do David ?
He is an accountant says David
Sarah what does your dad do ?
He is a vet she says
Brian what does your dad do ?
He dances naked at a Gay Bar !!!
Shocked the teacher quickly changes the subject.
Later that day she sees Brian in the play ground and asks him again to which he replies
I am sorry i lied but i was to scared to tell the truth.
Well then what does he do she asks ???
He plays Fotball for England!!!!!

What do we need to do to keep these detractors happy??
If we win THE WORLD CUP itself someone will come on here WITHIN MINUTES of the end and make some statement like,
'England are crap - yet STILL won the world cup!!!'

I could comment on the other thread but NAH - lets start a new one!!
I reckon we did a top job, wandered round the pitch kept cool and injury free ............ treated it as a 'Friendly' ... gave Beckham more match fitness, we didnt get out of 1st gear - SORTED!
Now its the Danes - Easy
Then its Brazil - Simple, free flowing game - England win 4-3
Then Senegal will come under our spell - easy meat
Portugal in the Final?? Yep, suits me fine
