G'day...thought I'd start this one off as Ron & Steve have both mentioned it to me in the last week or so, and I bumped (bodily not carwise !) into Mike & Janet tonight and their keen to come and meet everyone (mind you, Mike's birthday today, and he's found out his gearbox will cost c£1,300 to fix.... :0(((

So, Saturday 11th May, meet up at Coopers for 2:00, once all there, head off to the pub at the top of Beachy Head (the long way round (;0)) for chat / drinks, and hopefully to enjoy the weather. I'm suggesting that pub as I know there is a play area for children, but hey, any other suggestions welcome.

Good luck to Scott / Steve / Keith who I believe are all hitting the track at Goodwood this weekend, can't wait to see the piccies Keith.

Hi Glenn

Sounds good - we are there.

I won't be on track Sat but will be clicking away!..Just had my fill this week of STI's round Castle Combe at a "STImulation" event run by Subaru, and might try to push my standard suspension and brakes too far if I go round Saturday.

Need to calm down for a while - awesome brakes!

Glenn: 11th May is good for me - I'll be there. What's wrong with Mike's gearbox? Not sure I'll be able to make Goodwood tomorrow - something family has cropped up! When are you having the mods done to your car? The zorst sounded pretty good to me, when you pulled away the other night!

Keith: So, you tried the new STI and impressed by the sound of it? I had a go in one at Prodrive and it is an amazing drive. I know what you mean about those brakes, they didn't seem to fade at all!

Steve - bumped into Mike the other night (his birthday) and he was very upset...had trouble with gearbox and had just taken a call to say it would cost £1,300 - I suggested he binned and bought your P1 instead !!!

Mods being done on Tuesday....it feels like Christmas. If (and when !) you make the decision to stay with the P1, perhaps we need to investigate brake options. I'd like the fully monty (APR/Brem) but realistically will probably go for a cheaper set up (SS/TSL/Godspeed).

Shame about tmw, perhaps we need to book in now for August (just need to check what golf comps on that Sat and I could confirm I will attend...it's gotta be done !).

Will be there on the 11th... just a thought, isn't it pay and display at Beachy Head, if so maybe Burling Gap or Cuckmeer Haven as other options.

Anyone going to the Sussex Meet on the 5th. I was gonna make this my Maiden trip up, to meet the rest of the Sussex crowd.

If not I'll see you all on 11th, and I'll see Keith tommorrow.

Scott

The main car park is pay and display but if we go to the Brewers Fayre restraunt for drinks and food it is free. I for one will probably have something to eat. Saves cooking before work.

Hi Everyone,

Claires booked the day off, and booked into the hairdressers in the morning!,(can,t meet you all with messy hair). So thumbs up for both of us.
Trip round the town/seafront to beachy head sounds good if fine weather.

See you all soon.

Nathan, spot on re car park etc. The route I was thinking of was from Coopers down Friday Street, along seafront, up round the back PAST the Beachy Head turning...down to East Dean, and along to the pub via the Birling Gap way.....just an extra few smiles (sorry, miles !).

Ron...now you've done it, 16 people will no doubt comment to Clair "hair looks nice" lol. Should be a good one.

No sign of LCG / XRS / Joni as yet....or a few others that have said that may make it....but then there is 2 weeks to go !

Backs to the wall chaps. Scott T wants to start poking people! NO - GET OFF YOU FILTHY SOD!

Should be there although it looks like no more monster acceleration or high speed runs as Mrs LC is pregnant and needs to be kept away from "stress". Funny - that kind of thing usualyy relaxes me.

Scott, just thought I'd let you know, the clear side repeaters are fantastic - at least an extra 125bhp, shaved a second off 0-60, 24mph to top end, and sounds sooooo much deeper too - the best £30 mod I've ever done ....... ;0)

See you soon m8

Dave, good luck tmw - I presume you're still attending the Lotus meeting ? (and have you seen the LC 4 sale on here ???....interested in his 'n' hers ?)

2:30 is fine with me. Probably have my lad with me. Is that OK?
Glen: Have you persuaded Mike to join us this time or is his gear box still being fixed?

Steve, of course that's ok - I think most are couples and Rex will be with children so no worries (if we have good weather, the pub has an outdoor play area....but Keith's not allowed on the swings !).

I don't know about Mike - will speak to him later in week.
