It was not really a matter of speed Daz? Iv just always liked them.
I could really keep the scoob and have the evo as my daliy drive i was thinking?
The main think is i wont a more up to date car? Something still fast but nice for the kids to get in (Sorry but don't really like new age scoobys)

I'll still have you up.............
joke's aside......you can't knock ricky's Spec C for looks, just as good as any Evo's I reckon( apart from the rear lights).
You got bear in mind the cost of running the things Ash, its at least a 3rd more than your average 300bhp+ scooby, I did seriously considered one Evo 8 FQ320 before I got my scoob few sleepless nites thinking what to go for (like this one)...the cost just worked too much at least 17-18k when i was looking..haven't really looked at them lately thou, Have prices dropped like the scooby's?
Look at a Hawkeye Spec C mate before you do take the plung, the prices have dropped a few grand since i bought mine back in Feb, (bit gutted really, but thats life), there just value for money at the end of the day, 350/350 roughly out the box just an exhaust and a remap ....track ready i think me or Monkey need take you for spin one day, i'm sure we can change your mind

Mate... sounds like you have an itch that needs to be scratched.... that looks mean as f*ck and I say go for it....
Make sure you do take out a Spec C and compare tho.... I've already decided what I'm having next and it's still a scoobie....
[pic to follow]
Just don't fall to the dark side and remember where ya came from...
It's only a matter of time before you're back tho....

Ash,
i previousky had a evo 6 before my blob eye and now type r. It was probably the best car i have ever had in terms of performance and looks. You could quite easily drive through town and not worry about comfort or over heating. Then when you get to the a roads put your foot down and be confident nothings gonna catch ya.
i found that servicing wasnt actualy that bad, just an oil change here and there. They are bullet proof and wont break down, although clutches on evo's are suspect and i had 3 in the two years of owning it.
The only thing that lets them down is the sound. Yes they roar but not half as much as a scooby and on tick over they sound like a ford focus. If you have the funds available then defianatly get one, but then scoobys are value for money and sound great

Nice one for all the info guys iv now been looking a P1's today
Guv the spec c would be the same as getting a classic right? They have no sound proofing and so i will still be in the same boat.
Id like something that is not loud untill i open the window not roaring all the way down the road
Iv all so been looking at a RS4 Advant???? Now that is a nice car and good for everything? But i really don't know?
The X5 gearbox just broke what has cost 2k for a new one and what comes with a warranty so thinking off with that and in to something sporty but still child friendly???
The sherch goes on!
Oh and you can get an Evo 8 for...... Wait for it........ 8K FQ300
