Due to the success of Exmoor V we are running again over some of the countrys best roads before the summer rush of mpv's etc.
Some alterations will be made from the last run to fine tune the route.
As before, I'll hand out route plans etc from the start point which again will be the B&Q at Taunton, which is just off the M5 at Jctn 25. If we have a lot of interest then we'll split into groups of around 4 cars.
Start off time from Taunton will be 11am followed by Lunch in a small tea shoppe, which will be open hopefully this time!

Steve,
The tea shop in Dulverton is now open and very good. They even have a high chair! Went accross on wednesday and it was beautifull. The road from exford to Lynmouth is fantastic and would like to drive it without the missus and megan. It was good to drive the previous route but it seemed to take so much longer!!
The car goes in tomorrow for all the bodywork. Cant wait for the bill!!
Hope all is well with all the south west clan.
Regards Ian

Bob,
My windsreen is also knackered but will wait till after exmoor! Old bluey is at the central bodyshop with mine. I saw it this morning, the front end was knackered. It looked like he had run over something. Looked quite exspensive. Mine will be ready thursday evening. Good job the owner plays Golf!!!!!
Looking forward to the 8th!
Still not sure on whether to buy Ledas or Eibach. Cost mainly.
Regards
Ian

Bob,

You never know, I might have my new Discs and pads by then!!
Might be a good idea to wait until after the Exmoor to get your new screen?

Cool

Steve
The 8th might be alright for me, I'll know nearer the time. I'm still trying to get over the fact that my car did 22.3mpg last time over the moors, I don't even get that during the week normally!

I will try to hang on to the next Exmoor run before the new windscreen but the crack is slowly working its way to the bottom of the windscreen.

Can't spell for toffee.

The torment of being a shift worker. Sorry about the worker bit Dave.
I am back on shift as from 19th March don't know what shift I will be on,on the 8th April But I will be off one way or another. I have never missed an Exmoor run and will not miss this one.
BTW part x'ed the SLR Nicon Camera that bounced around in the boot. Now have a Fuji Finepix 4900 Digital camera to bounce around.

Paintwork clean as a whistle. Car is now highly polished and shining like a new pin. Now to get the dog hairs off the back seat
Fit enough for shifts I'm going back onto shifts for a rest these days are killing me.

I should coco. Just picked the coluor coded car up and it looks as good as new. Not to unlike bluey bob, but without twin lights. If Exmoor is out then a TRACK not airfield day would be great. Bit skint, so i think eibach springs.
Dave, have you got eibach on standard springs?

Ian, don't you mean Eibach springs on Std dampers?

We'll have to keep an eye on the situation with Exmoor. There is after all 5 weeks to the run.

Yes Ian I do have Eibach springs and they were a vast improvement over the standard springs, as standard the springs are soft and the dampers are quite hard (I think). My dampers are shagged and may have to be replaced soon , will probably go for Leda C's or Power Engineering do Avo's which may also be worth looking at(also cheaper) .

Bob,

Hope you had a good night, sorry we couldn't make it for your party.

I know they say Exmoor is shut off, but does that mean just the footpaths/bridleways etc not the roads. Anyone know?

Fingers crossed it'll all be cleared by the run.

Steve.

Hi Gang
Heads much better now Ian. I'm up for a track day providing Dave carries my wheels.
Got anything in mind. Wroughton is open again next session is on 17th April @ £89 I am OK for noise regulations here as my car is quieter than a Vulcan Bomber. (Just) Reading the views of others that have been there, sounds like they had a good time. This track is much better on tyres than the other airdromes.
At £89 I think I will book this up anyway.

P.S. Bob don't forget to check for punctures this time , the wheels were heavy enough last time and I don't fancy carrying you to the first aid

Would be up for the track day. Is it through easyjet! Is Wroughton near swindon? Anyway, i doubt that there is any gravel Bob! I lost a bet with my missus this week so i am driving the golf and she has the scooby. When you drive something else you relise how good the scooby is. Keep in contact Bob as i need to know who to pay.

Let the misses have it for the week. Are you mad, You've just had the thing sprayed. Is your misses OK with Busses you know what I mean.
Was a great Burger bar at Wroughton last time I went. Never raced there as I had the boy with me but meet SteveB there.
There is only one thing that could possibly cause your car damage its just one post as Pete Croney of ScoobySport found out. (If you see this sorry for the reminder Pete.)

Got it wrong Ian. I am just Bronze thats the free membership and have paid for the trackday. It says if the trackday is bronze+ but no mention at Wroughton. Bronze+ is usually for weekend dates.
