Unfortunatly I didn't make it to the Swindon meet. Didn't find out til' it was all over.
Would have been close for me to, seeing as I work in Swindon..
Anyway, does anyone know if there's a following in the Southampton area ? (my home town b.t.w)
Cheers

Hi all,
I'm in Dorset and I'd be up for a gathering anywhere between Portsmouth and Exeter!
A good time was had by all at the Swindon meet.
E-Mail me if you want me to arrange some sort of gathering in the Bournemouth/Poole area.

well we're all coming out of the woodwork then, sounds like we could have oursleves a south coast meet very soon, southsea sounds good to me, or the view point on portsdown hill, etc, etc, also spoke to a P1 owner in winchester on sunday, he had it 2 days and it was his frist scooby, so until he's run it in he wont have that silly grin we all have? i do like the wheels very sexy. any way lets hope we can get some thing of the ground soon.

Folks,
Count me in too at weekends, I have family in Bournemouth and get down there quite often. Nice drive through the New Forest and plenty of BBQ sites too - never a hassle, except when the caravans are out in force .

Another Poole/Bournemouth owner here.
DAVE, saved us a job then
Hey Chuckster - Do your folks live in lower Parkstone, I think I passed your car about a month ago, there was an FTO in the same parking area.
There a fair few around here now and lots are starting to wave too!
Rich.

Remember folks, New Forest isn't really that great for blasts, ponies jump outta nowhere and destroy themselves and your car - it's all limited to 50mph.
Rich - my wifes got a big extended family down there - all over, so could easily of been my car!
I'm down this weekend too - hope it's nice!

OK Guys
Pick a venue. Anywhere on Hayling or Southsea with a big enough car park for a meet?
Pick a date.
Pick a time.
Do you want to meet at a pub and/or go for a drive?

I wouldn't mind travelling down Southsea way.. Don't know it well enough to suggest were though.
The New Forest does lend itself to some fare size areas for numbers of cars, 'Stoney Cross' just off the M27, although it doesn't lend itself to speed, best left for better roads with less beaties
A couple of good pubs, but that's pretty much it.
Anyone know Southsea any better ?
When, hows about 2nd or 3rd Sun. in June ??

I'm at Le Mans on the 18th so couldn't make it. Concur on the New Forest snags, again only problem with Clarence Pier is getting a space especially on a weekend. There are a few good spots up and around the A272 Cheriton type area plus a seriously good road, apart from the insane bikers.
Anyway sounds like a good bit of interest anyone fancy making a definite place and time?

According to the inside of my wedding ring the 18th June is my 6th wedding anniversary.
Appealing as Southsea Scooby meet sounds to me, I feel the other half might not be of the same mind. Could do Sundays before or after though. I'm up for a drive there through the New Forest from Bournemouth and a leisurely walk down the pier to the pub!

The pier would be a good place for a seafront cruise, the crazy golf is pants though, if it's golf (be it crazy or other wise) your after then the other end of southsea offers the par 3 pitch and putt, with possibly the best cafe in the land( the tenth hole), parking may be a problem though, but a southsea meet sounds good, June 4th ( me birthday) or 11th would be good for me, how about you Steve??

How about the view point on portsdown hill, pub close by (the churchilian), food (micks monster burger van) no the burgers aren’t made from monsters! Excellent views, and excellent country lanes (with ford if required) and the excellent wickham road (if no Sunday drivers), I believe someone I know had a little spat with a westfield along that road the other day?????

Churchillian sounds good, I know the road with the ford you're talking about Phil, used to use it a lot in the old (real) RS2000 days. The added bonus of Micks monster burgers seems too good to pass on, what about a sunday lunchtime soonish pref not 11th or 18th.
