I've been here for 24 hrs and have only spotted one Scooby - an STi8 with some stickers and a canister exhaust.

I was wondering if there were any Subaru related events in my near future. I'm in London, sans auto, but could tube or taxi to something if it was in the area. I would love to see some of your cars and hang out with the owners

I am stumped as to how to get there, however

The thread says "London bound" - does that mean we (my gf is here as well) can meet you at your destination? Or would we need to take the train out to Essex? And can you give me a street address so I can use the many touristy maps I have?

You could get the Southend train from Liverpool Street, to Wickford / Rayleigh (It's about 4-5 stops) and then get a lift. But I'm not sure if the trains will be running on New years Day. Probably will have a limited service I guess?

So.. you are leaving from Essex to go to Basildon, right? So all I would have to do is meet up in Basildon somehow (depending on what trains are available) ?

Where in Basildon? Is there a street address?

 

Go direct from Liverpool Street to Wickford (4 stops)

This is very close to Basildon, I'm sure a member of the ESC will pick you up from there.

Hi John

A bunch of us meet about 5 minutes up the road from Wickford station at around 7.00pm - 7.15pm. So depending on trains,as near 7.00pm as possible I guess.If you can defo come I am sure we can fit in with your train time.

The main group of cars will be meeting from 7-30pm @ Tescos car park in the Mayflower Retail Park just off the A127 London bound,which is only about 5 minutes from Wickford station.

And will be leaving there @ 8pm for the Cruise to Southend starting 2005 Nascar Stylee !! The 1st car on the 127 will slow it down,then we are side by side all the way there. And let the flamers light the way.

right opposite the place you'll find me most of the time ...the savoy! Awesome awesome hotel. Stand palace is nice also - stayed there a couple of times.

If you have any probs getting up to London tiny let me know ... sure I could help out if needed.

I think the trains will definately be a problem on 1st. Don't mind dropping you both back in the evening.
