Wow, thanks for all the support! I feel like some sort of celebrity
WR1? Sweet.. having never seen one of them in the flesh that should be awesome! If anyone has any 22B's, RB5's or P1's they would like to display, I'll be bringing the camera
It will just be great to see all the cars we don't get, and the style you all bring to the table. It does seem that the US, UK, and Japan all have slightly different ideas about modification routes
Again - I cannot thank you all enough (already) for the welcome.. and the photo-chop of the flags
I hope some of you get to visit Washington sometime so that I can return the favor! (or is that favour
)
thanks
john
p.s. More about me:
My car:
http://www.johntology.org/bdr/member-john.php
My other car, a slightly modified MX5 for track days:

Note the GB sticker.. it came with the car
My motorsport/drinking crew:
http://www.johntology.org/bdr/
As fate would have it, I have our BDR stickers with me, so I would be happy to sticker-swap
Simple logo; just says BDR, in black, about 4" wide if I recall correctly.
I spose that's it.. looking forward to it all!

Hi ButtDyno. Great to meet you last night. I was talking to you at Tesco for a while. You were telling me the impressive spec of your Scoob
Hope you and your girlfriend enjoy the rest of your stay in England and have a good trip back to the States.
BTW can you recommend Gangsta Smurf's 'WR1 Cabs' ????

I'm sorry it took me this long. I wrote this in the hotel and our internet cut off just as I clicked submit
I will start tho
Written 1-2-2005:
I will not have time for a proper review til a bit later. The hotel, how do we say, "overcharges like fiends" for internet. It's a bit of a bummer that we didn't figure out how to scam it for free until now
Anyway - words cannot properly express how thankful I am for the welcome. Special thanks to Rob and Darren for playing chaperone. Further thanks to Brembo for supplying Rob's brakepads
It was awesome to see how Essex does things. (I wish we were that organized and had personalized jackets! "ButtDyno" "What does 'blat' mean?")
Hopefully once I get the Scooby cleaned I can take some pics with the new ESC bling.. should be good for 10 whp! Sorry the BDR stickers don't match your vinyl Tiny
And the icing on the cake was the sendoff... I didn't realize til the end that many of you had driven through central London just to see me off. (Most of you on the proper side of the road, eh Rob?
) It was quite touching (not to get all misty).
Again - thank you all very much - I hope I will get to see some of you in Washington sometime. (or, with luck, at the 'ring
)

Chavtastic!

I got to sit in a WR1

No gas station has ever seen this much traction
