Close to the A3 around Ripley way, not the Fairmile!!
Ideally with a childs play area, serves food all day

Check the Jovial Sailor, very good food, but unsure if they are child friendly. (Probably worth giving them a call)
From the A3 (southbound) head through Ripley village, The Jovial Sailor is on the left hand side opposite the used car garage. If you go past the Mitsubishi garage, you've gone too far.

Cheers Andy - its always the way, I post a thread then read another that mentions a pub in Ripley 
Googled the pub and a few reviews say its child friendly
