The word on the front is the scooby boyz had a lot to do with this ... even though we didn't it would be a shame if we weren't represented at this event. Especially seeing how much of an event this will be - the first legal cruise in southend, supported by the police and the local council.
p.s. I will be there whatever so cannot do the fireworks.

I know what your saying about only two cars representing everyone but tbh I am quite disappointed with the lack of interest from the peeps on here regarding this.
Southend is the home of the cruise and if the regular (non trouble making) cruisers don't show up in force to prove that this can work there will always be conflict every saturday night.
The posers cruise is class but essentially we only drive down, park up and all split up for coffee etc. With this the whole place will be dedicated to the cruise and that's what people are going there to see, it will be rammed and to have an SIDC stand will create so much puplicity for the club - as the event is absolutely monumental.
I'm not having a go here (as I'm not like that) but how it has just been swept under the carpet really disappoints me. We have supported a number of events for a whole host of different scooby groups - charity runs etc. This was a chance to show how big the essex scooby crew are ... so IMHO a wasted opportunity.

p.s. I appreciate that Phil has emailed them and received no reply but I still think we could have pushed harder on this and not just ignored it for something else. The poser's cruise wouldn't be able to happen if Southend gets closed down.

Cheers Phil ... even if I have to stand by myself in the rain I will support this. Will need to score some flyers and stuff from you though so I can hand out to anyone that wants them. Perhaps some ESC newsletters also if there are any to hand.
