bloody hell!
Glad your OK mate!....makes me think about myself abit really! sometimes I can let the urge for a race get to me and I just have to go for it!
Raced a BMW M3 Evo today on the M3 by basingstoke looked at the clock............**** 155MPH..which left me wondering..I thought these cars were limited to 150MPH I still had loads more throttle left......the pull away would have been quicker if I hadnt got the Bung in the exhaust.......I have added a friction eliminater to my car called ZX1 I have used this for years on all my cars..........I have noticed a difference, at a guess ide say on the conservative side about 5 BHP, the other thing I tried was (BG44K) a fuel additive, I used this in my Old EVO M3 and it transformed the car....and Im not just saying it either........car was fantastic after, response was great and ive used it i the scoob brilliant...stupidly you can get the ZX1 from Halfords......its even got a NATO Stock number, used in atomic reactors blah blah blah...............oh the evo!.... ide like to say I beat it........ wellllllllllllllllllllll it was actually a draw!....... he came to a point where he could no longer go any faster which amazed me..................ooooooooooops gone off the track abit............mmmmmmmmmm..........Like I say I can be daft sometimes, its just so addictive.

NickP1,
Id be very wary of going over 120 in a scoob for any long period. The aerodynamics of the car cause problems at high speed, which result in the airflow to the scoop being stopped. No intercooler air means a massive heat rise and that means very bad news.
Quite a few P1's and STi's have gone pop because of this.

Its nothing to panic too much about, just something to be aware of. How often do you go over 120 for any period?!
Problem is that its a turbocharged car without a front mount cooler, to there has to be air going into the top mounted cooler. If you notice the scoop on the new STi's it quite a bit bigger
I dont think this is something thats really well known, but one of the Prodrive people mentioned it on a post a while back.

100 is no prob, I do it all the time and my STi5 is pretty much identical to your P1.
I would get yourself a knocklink too. The ECU map on a P1 is the same as an STi, therefore you need to use Optimax. Sneaky Subaru didn't use Prodrive to remap the engine management to UK fuel, and put in the Japanese STi map which calls for 100 ron fuel. Closest we have is Optimax. Put NUL in there and you will probably get det
I use Optimax and booster in the STi, just to make sure until I get the car remapped.
Again, nothing to panic about, but there are things worth knowing about all cars, ie Vanos unit
PM me if you like, I have quite a bit to share on the 99/00 model

lol lol liked the vanos reference, changed mine twice on the m3 under warranty of course!
Shame Subaru doesnt think about its customers abit more, especially here in the UK. and prepared its cars accordingly.
We always seem to get the rough end of the stick!......when japan gets all the decent toys etc for their cars.
regards Nick

Anyway, I'm not going either... seems only the Guys have been invited this time!
Edit: Actually, I apologise for that flippant joke... in fact, the first thing I thought as my stomach turned over was whether your gorgeous little man was in the car... I assume not. Also sad as you have only just got the car. I'm really sorry mate

I have also got a P1. A knocklink is well worth the money. I like you drive at a similar speed all the time.
