Shame you are going on Saturday - I am there on Sunday. I usually go on the A3 and then on the A286. The A286 is good especially if you leave early to get there and avoid the traffic - some nice fast straights as well as twisties. On the way back you will inevitably hit quie a bit of traffic.

Too bad I could go only on Fri or Sat...

All the roads close get very busy so GO EARLY, gates open I think at 7:30.
We left Winchester at 9 last year & got in the most almighty traffic jam
Also dont approach from the A27 side, most people seem to go M3 - M27 - A27 & then Queue

Plan to go A3 - A286, picking up a friend at Guildford at 7:30-8 a.m.

Is this early enough to have a traffic-free run down there?

I am working on the Spyker stand on Sat and will be there for fun on Sunday. Come see me on the stand on Sat, my name is Ed and you can come and see the car. (it's amazing) Say your from Scooby net when you meet me and will let you in, dont bother telling the other dutch guys, they will just look at you in a strange way.
