This is a ******* joke, and a complete waste of money as they have learnt now that if you were speeding through that section and got flashed by all 7 cameras it's only 1 offence.

This was in the London Metro newspaper yesterday:

Landmark Speeding Ruling
A motorist caught speeding twice in one minute by the same camera yesterday won a landmark court appeal to face one rather than two charges. Sales rep Vanessa Blount was snapped driving at 40mph and 41mph in the same 30mph zone in Little Stoke, Bristol, last January after performing a U-turn. Ms Blount, 35, persuaded magistrates in Taunton, Somerset, that offences so close together should be treated as one. Her license was endorsed with four points.

So a great big **** OFF to the government

For those who didn't see it in the other section!

Just been round the M25 (Essex - Herts section) and spotted 14!! Yes FOURTEEN new Gatsos!!!

These aren't temporary ones on trailers either, but fixed!!!

Most of them still had bags over them saying "Not in use" but I don't suppose it will be long before they are!!

They are between Junc 27 (M11) and Junc 26 (Waltham Abbey) and are on both sides of the carriageway (7 clockwise and 7 anti-clockwise)

These may have been spotted before by others on here but I haven't noticed a thread so I thought I would post the warning!!

This is getting ridiculous now ... anyone know how to contact MAD?

This is blatently for revenue and not safety gains! People always travel faster on motorways - multiply heavy braking approaching a camera at 30mph, to 80mph and your asking for trouble!

Conservative Party policy (new) has hinted at the following ...

1) 80mph limits on motorways
2) Reduction in the number of speed cameras to those only placed at traffic black spots
3) Allowance for increased speed during night when the roads are clear.

I know where my vote is going!!!

I think a new sport is in order. Where can I buy a paint ball gun, I guess this will render the camera useless for a few days but should you get caught the fines will be relativly small compared with that you would get if you destroy the camera.
OK so they can clean it up but then you just do it again, the passenger could do it as you drive by

mutant matt - No mate not the M11 and A10... the M11 and the A121 This is a 5 mile stretch of motorway!!!

I have been past them again today...definitely 7 of them going anti-clockwise, but I think there is only 6 going clockwise!

So I miss counted, they were still putting in number 6 when I passed and wrongly assumed they would put in the seventh level with the first camera on the other side! oops! sorry!

I use that section of road loads.... Definate **** take on behalf of the Government...

That must be a huge investment in that area... I mean with the ever growing Gypsy Encampment just before the M11 Turn Off (Tarmacced, fenced and bloody landscaped prior to their arrival I might add) it's nice to see where all our hard earned wonga is going these days...

I reckon the Cameras are just to slow us down to give the Gypo's a better shot at steeling our motor's while we are moving... I mean the Bas****s nick everything else in a 30 mile radius and get away with it so why should this be any different....

Perhaps a few dibble going round there to check for Tax and insurance would be a better return..

If you want an example of complete police lunacy how about last night on the M25 anti-clockwise junction 9 to 6.

I was expecting it to be busy seeing as I joined the M25 turn off from the A3 at around 5.15pm. We heard the traffic reports saying that due to an incident being attended by the police on a bridge over junction 6 there were delays. Seeing as there is no bridge over junction 6 I knew the information was smelly.

Having trickled at an average (probably less) of 10 miles per hour between junctions 9 and 6 what was the problem caused by ? - A bloody police van and two police bikes on a road crossing the M25 that had set up 3 mobile speed cameras over the motorway - causing traffic to slow right down to 10 mph. W*nkers. Whose bright idea was that for a Friday night rush hour ?

On the plus side the MWay was completely clear afterwards and I drove straight up to the Dartford Tunnel booths with no delay whatsoever and probably 20-30 mph faster than I would have done had I not been held up unnecessarily.

I don't understand their motives.
