Cool

Hello all,

....well, I'll give you all a chance to get back and have a bath/shower and a rest

...after that if you have any comments on what you liked about the event and any ideas about how it could be improved for next year (bigger and better - if that's possible! ) then I'd apprieciate it if you could post 'em all here so I can forward them on to Dave and he can have a look at them at his leisure

Personally I loved every minute of it Even the monkeynut fight lol! Two excellent drives and a beautiful location, with of course some lovely drinks and a bit of a party into the night with the most excellent Subaru cake tbh my house now looks quite dull compared to "Subaru Village"

The only improvement I could think of was that suggestion about putting the Optimax/SUL stations on a map...

I'll be writing a letter to Dave to express my thanks and I'll do so on behalf of all of us if no-one has any objections?

One pic below, I'll sort the rest out later and stick 'em in the gallery

Thanks guys - excellent way to spend a Saturday

Jen (and a slightly worse for wear Scooby Doo )

I think the whole thing was awsome The organisation was brilliant, everything went very smoothly but was very layed back

I think we should maybe look at doing one of our own as I had a few disapproving looks from the "classic" car owners as I pasted them 'cos they could only manage 40 MPH
We would get a better response if it was Scoobs/modern cars only (could include Porsches and other jap stuff). Then the classic boys don't get upset at being beaten by those Imported things!

I know there is always a temtation to speed, so what about a timed section where you have to finish closest to a set time (12mins to do 10 miles on a 60 limit road). Theres no point in speeding 'cos you'll be under the time! Not sure about the legality and insurance issues though Just an idea!

Great weekend!
Definatly up for next year!!!!!!
I tell Ang when she wakes up

Iain.

Andy, they're slowly appearing on here but the ftp server keeps timing out so we're a few pics short at the moment.

Two routes wouldn't be a bad idea - we could run the same route as this year next year (as lets face it, it was a good route! ..and it would give hte guys who didn't come this year a chance to do it ) and they could use the new route for hte classic owners, then the year after we could use that route and the next new route for hte classic owners etc. that way it's no more work for them (appart from the printing of two sets of brochures) and we'll be separated, which may be good for the classic owners

..although a few did wave me past anyway

Any more?

Thumbs up

What a cracking day!! The route was excellent - I really enjoyed the drive, as did my passengers!! I got the impression that my other half wasn't too upset to be stuck behind the classic machines, could be my imagination though...... Still, it was fun once past them onto the open roaad again

Please convey our thanks to Dave - the whole event was so well organised. We had a great time and will definitely be up for next year!!!!!!

Thanks to all concerned for making it happen so smoothly

Jen,
That sounds the best solution and would mean we could all mix at the end

Fantastic I and my passengers thoroughly enjoyed the whole day, shame we had to leave early but I had to work Sunday, A big thank you to all the organisers and all of you who made the Legacy crew welcome lol, hope to make it next year though I will be living in Darlington then, but, you never know, thanks again for a great day

Excellent weekend, enjoyed by both Helen (Pink_Bunny 36dd) & myself - & everyone else too !

drive was good & only 1 part where we had a small left instead of right moment .. but managed it !

evenings entertainment was good, specially the chair racing
& although we seemed to be the only ones that froze that night (something to do with inside tent volume) it was a good laff from start (earlish!) to finish!

Will be up for next year for sure! although I will have some fog light protectors by then. Anyone got a spare O/S fog light from a classic?!?!

Steve & Helen ( <- Scooby-Doo cake maker extrodinare! )

Sorry to be replying this late guys, didn't get home until Monday and I haven't had SN access until today...and to cap it all I've got Flu....come on own up who gave it to me ??!!

Anyway, THANK YOU ALL for the wonderful comments and suggestions - I will pass them all onto Dad. According to him you were all great and really made the party - he asked me to thank each and every one of you....especially the guy who bought the poofy backpack !!!! And I thought Iain looked quite sexy in it !!

Special thanks have to go to Helen for that wonderful scooby cake !! Where do we send our orders?

Ohh and Iain can you let Ang know that I can't watch The Ring without thinking of Neil Sadaka (sp?) and laughing !!

Dad has said that if we wanted to do a big scooby weekend meet, we could use Lufton as the base to camp and also use the hall for a disco etc. He can organise disco stuff and the bar for us. So there's a thought for a big southern camp out perhaps???:P

Anyway, our thanks to you all - it was great to meet you and you all made a good weekend into a fantastic one !!!

Hope to see you all again soon especially the hants lot cause I think we've got a meet soon !!!

Rach

Ps: Will let you know the amount we raised asap but the auction alone got over £1000 !!

Thanks matey - I feel like ...er.. you can't swear on SN can you? Wouldn't want to incur the wrath of the Mods (espcially one with a funny backpack ) lol!

Still, holding out - have to stay at work as I've got an important meeting tonight - WHY TONIGHT? Oh well. I enjoy being shouted at by residents really

lol @ Neil S..thingy!

Drafting a letter to you Dad tommorrow - can't concentrate at the moment so I'll do the less important things like work and write letters when I feel better

See you monday matey, hope you feel better soon

Jen

When can we do it AGAIN!!!!

A very BIG THANKS to Dave and all of his helpers for a superbly well organised and fun weekend.
Only one complaint(from Lyn): A West country bar with no cider (get it sorted for next year)!!

See you all at the Pub Monday Night

Barry & Lyn
