Begining to feel a bit left out so any others out there in Hertfordshire/North London fancy a meet in a pub (I think Hatfield is fairly central if anyone can suggest a good pub).......(poss followed by Southend?) on one sat nite before xmas?

There's loads of us about in this area. Last time we had a meet in Hatfield was Spring 2001 at the Red Lion pub. Details were in this thread. IIRC there was quite a good turn out

Always up for a Herts meet but I do have a tenner says that I have something already planned on the day that is chosen. Haven't been able to make the last 3 meets!! 
Haven't been for a blat down to southend since the summer either, should be great, if a tad chilly!

The Red Lion! Hatfield! Noooooo. (massive car park though) I used to live there (cough) student (cough). Can't stand the place. Shall we be a bit more refined and head towards, um, The Colney Fox, London Colney?? Charming pub Short blat down the 414 from Shatfield.

i dont know the area too well so wherever u decided is good as long as you include directions! Southend is still packed on a saturday even if its pissin it down and freezing cold but lets face it, scooby's lov the cold.

The venue will be the chequers st albans rd redbourne 01582 792359.
I think that if we make it on a sat that would be a lot easier for some people.
Let me know what date would suit most people,how about early December?

The trouble is with Sundays that the pubs are so busy Saturdays are always much quieter.
We can do Sat 7th but not Sun 8th as it's our company xmas bash and I will be getting very, very drunk

2nd Sunday of the month is always the Surrey meet which plenty herts people go down to (self included)
I sugegst that if you are going to go for something more regular, try the 3rd or 4th Sunday of the month - this avoids the Saturdays for people that work on them.
