EastSussexScoobys - SEPT meet
Spotted where a 93 Red WRX parks on a regular basis, so a flyer may well get attached to his screen in the next few days.
Anyone sorted a Flyer yet ?

Mark.E - I'd love a new spoiler, but i've got to pay of my credit card 1st, and then pay of the holiday i'm just about to go on in a few weeks, and then start saving for mods, till then i'm afraid i just haven't the cash
Thankyou SDUKES, i do like black, it's me fav colour and the main reason I bought the car. It belonged to the neighbour of a guy worked with, everytime i popped up his house and saw it parked I drooled. Bought it June'ish last year. oh yeah, question, what do MY mean? I'm guessing "Manafacturer Year" or something along those lines.
Nathan - cool, so mine is 16 out of 200. I've also different wheels than standard, it came with 15's, but previous owner put 16's on, and i put 215x40x16 tyres, FK451's or something cos I couldn't afford better and needed tyres. Handles okay though. But then I drive like a granny
Told my mate who bought my old escort off me about you lot, she lives in Newhaven and would very much like to join me when I get to meet you, although she did say she wouldn't dare go in her car incase you all laughed. Its been boy racered slightly (by me!) and she's a girl racer wannabe, just too young to afford the insurance on a scoob. Thats reminds me actually (blimey, don't I waffle!) can any recommend low cost insurance, i've paid £1300+ for the last 2 times, both with different companies, i'm 27 with 5 years no claims and this seems a bit dear for a non mod.

i want my g/f is get a scoob vent, and have on the number plate "mini scooby", maybe some gold wheels too, cos as both of our cars are black she could park it next too mine.
hers isn't too underpowered though. 0-60 is under 8 secs, not bad for a 1.5 yaris methinks, and it looks lovely. A while ago i was seriously thinking of trading me scoob in for one as its far far cheaper to run, but didn't in the end as it does wheel spin like crazy in the wet which i'm not used to and don't like.
Looks like EG will be joining us tonight in her "lax power".
sorry EG, coulnd't resist. oh dear, i'm in for it now. And no EG, they do not wish to see me go red!

EG - the police normally stick to hassling boy-racered, tinted windowed "lax power" escorts driven by girl racers! hahahaha
Nice to meet both Glen & Mark, both lovely motors (comapred to my poor little underpowered beastie
)
When you started up Glen i though it was gonna rain, mistook your exhaust for thunder !
sounds lovely, and people at work think mine's loud. What exhaust is it? And dos removing the cat make the car louder?
ps - I had a mc fluffy before i left...

What? We've only just had one? Well lets have another one!!!!
Due to my eldest son's wedding and of course, the IOW trip, we can't make the last two Saturdays of the month. So, being selfish, I'm hoping others can make SAT 14th SEPT! Also, that would slot us back in at two weeks after the West Sussex meet.
What news people?

FFS Keith !! Yep, we've written the 14th into our diaries (we must have bought cheap ones as it wasn't already there
) We'll be there.
I'll start the question tho...should we meet somewhere different this time ? Or meet at C and move on ?

Iain - good point. But as STIMark (555Markus) says, the thing he likes about the East Sussex meet is that he gets a good drive there and back. If you are local, you don't necessarily get that and some of our local chaps and chapesses enjoy a gentle potter about the lanes. Maybe a gentle cruise for the locals and those guests requiring further knowledge of our local roads would suffice? This could take place during the meet, perhaps to build up one's "appetite for tea"? Us wot hosts the meet could discuss ideas on Saturday

. I can't make the afternoon of the 14th
. I'm at Chelsea that afternoon, but may come over later...around 7.30pm....if someone can let me know where you might be then. Mark
14th sounds good,,
as does any other date where we all get together
have already got one new mod
a set of anti theft dust caps
as some git nicked the others
the option of doing something else with the day seems like a good idea,, are you suggesting a slow cruise, or are you interested in doing something else?

Ron, I think a cruise by definition would be slow, a blat might be a mild excursion of the foot to the floor, a blast might entail body pummelling and G forces (while in the car of course). Thinking Viagra here!
Under no circumstances would we condone any activity which would give ourselves as road users a bad name in the area. Thus if we had a cruise it would be a gentle affair. After all, with all our mods, we need to drive around slow in built up areas so that they can be appreciated/heard by Joe P Ublic (from the Ukraine, I believe).
Mark - I'm sure we will be happy to wait up for you. I know some of us hit the sack early so we can dream about more mods, or golf.
If you wish to come see us, we will extend our hospitality to suit.

Yeh
Lets go to Macys, get 20 Scoobys and drive round and round the drive through.
On reflection thats probably very sad.
But a bit of a cruising convoy through Eastbourne would be good.
Could we meet at one pub say the Coopers have half an hour or so and then drive to another pub the other end of town to finish??
Good idea/Bad idea - What do you think kids
Cheers
