Oh No. Damn it. Sat 14th i'll be driving to North Devon for 2 weeks of caravan fun with the g/f.

i'll check to see if any other dates have been arranged when I come back. Thanks to Nathan for inviting me.
I know where the Maccy D's is, not sure about Coopers, but still, I could always hang me head out the window and follow the sound of Roaring exhausts and such
If I follow a cruis, it would have to be slow, else I run the risk of viloently jolting down the road as my car missfires. Not only that, I've heard nasty stories of putting too much unburnt fuel through the Cat.

Thanks guys, look forward to seeing you upon my return.

Its that little tike from next door that wee's on my wheels
I've been told several times to have it removed from my car, but I have concerns about this. MOT's & insurance. I presumed that driving around without it would invalidate the insurance if i was involved in an accident. Is this not the case?

Tiktok - what model you got?

You must remember that Glenn has had his ***** removed. He walks upright now!

The insurance issue is interesting and one that often comes up in the Insurance forum. We can discuss further when we meet.

Paul

It doesn't invalidate the insurance if the company are aware of it.

MOT's. Don't worry about those, simply put the cat back on for it, will only cost you an extra £10 or so and the extra smiles per mile is well worth it.

Road side emmision testing ? I'll tell you that one when I see you.

I look forward to meeting you all. Please forgive my ignorance, i'm a pleb when it comes to cars, I can take a computer apart and rebuilt it, but putting on a distributor cap on my girlfriends original nova was the hight of my car prowers

I've got a 1997 Catalunya, black, acutally I think they were only available in black, not sure though. Its number 16 out of again, don't know, I've been told 400 were made and i've also been told 200 were made. Anyone know?

And no, its no longer a disabled bay, they removed the pole but didn't paint the road. Please don't take the ****, I know the spoiler is awfull and the side skirts too, but no money to fix these

No **** taking here mate, its still a Scoob.

Taken from SIDC FAQ

In 1996, Subaru again won the manufacturers title in the FIA World Rally Championship, finally winning the title with the points gained on the Catalunya rally of Spain. To celebrate this, another limited edition run of 200 cars (again with no number 13) was produced, this time going by the name of the Catalunya (I wonder why?) The main features of the "Cats", as they are commonly known as are:

Special black mica paintwork (red metallic flecks)
Colour matched door mirrors
Gold Alloys (same ones as fitted to 2.0 Sport, but painted gold)
Front and rear seats and side door panelling re-trimmed in black with red highlights
Short rally style gear **** (initial sales blurb promised a quick shift!)
Carbon fibre effect dashboard
Air conditioning
Special floor mats (black with red trim and Catalunya logo)
Side and rear Catalunya decals
Interior numbered Catalunya plaque

The first examples were registered during March 1997, for an on the road price of £21,610.

The only p1ss taken is when it's a new shape WRX with a low spoiler

Scott, no flyer that I'm aware of although I tend to either speak to the driver (where poss) or just leave a note asking them to call. fingers crossed it works m8.

Mmm, sounds good. I know we get stung being under 30. A guy at my work is 26, got an X reg scoob of some sort and pays £600 approx fully comp. I told him he was a git, but then he is a Traffic Cop with a Class A driving thingy and the insurance company give discounts to police. Still a git though. Half what I pay and for a newer car. (
Still, i've printed these and will give them a try upon my next insurance renewal.

Nath - as always, no worries - just let me know

Mark, possibly - what 18s are you looking at ? / price ?

Paul - get her along...even if in the "lax power" scort .... lol
My insurance, including business use, is under £700, and mine's insured as a group 20 (due to the mods ) - call Chris Knott.

Good luck

Cool

Speaking to Keith, he said OZ are probably the best to go for because of the off set, looking around £1000. I take it is possible to get tyre and wheel packages?

Scott....should be m8, say after 3:00pm if that's ok ? I may be able to collect tmw (may be going to Ashford to buy something, and if that's the case, the cash would be handy (saves me drawing out !). Will let you know in the morning.

Mark, I'd suggest to start with that you get a couple of mags (I'm sure you've got some at home) and check out the styles / designs etc. Once you've got a couple in your head that you like, that's perhaps the time to then start questioning the quality of the make etc. It's a very subjective thing, and wheels are very personal -

OZ wheels expensive

Well I guess they are when new. Look out for a second hand set on here. I paid £750 for 4 X 18" P1 wheels inc tyres.

Sold me old alloys for £350 and suddenly a set of P1 wheels were 400 quid. Nice

Nathan..

P.S. Sorry for being a smug git
