Didn't know there was a local motor club (hope I'm excused, only having been working in Cold Ash for 2 months). May see if I can turn up to one, check it out.
[But I very much doubt the one today(as I post/edit) - too much sorting out to do before I pick my new car up on Saturday. At least I've got the insurance done and sorted]

Hi all,
Ok we missed last months due to holidays, money etc....
So we need to make up for it!!!
Date: 15th of August (Thursday night)
Place: The Star Inn - Great food, even better Puddings
Lets ensure a big turn out like the last one!! Maybe even book the whole pub out and make the car park look AWESOME
Let me know

I'm up for it. I think this is the first one that's been at the Star that I could get to since I started my new work. Which takes me right past the pub on the way up / home, so I've got no reason not to turn up. Should see ya there (and anyone who's going to the Newlands Corner meet, later today - 14 July).
What sort of time does it start from?

Wotcher P!
Don't think I'll be driving by then - have to see what the Physio says.
Won't have any probs convincing M to drive tho - the Pug & Audi have sat in the garage since I broke my ankle and she's dreading me being able to drive again! I imagine she'll want to chop the A3 in for an S3 (or STi7) next!

Well, me in my Corsa won't keep up (obv.) so I'll be seeing you at 7.30pm at the Star. Won't be leaving work particularly much later than normal at the moment even though it's only quarter of an hour away from work. Drive carefully!

I thought there were quite a few Scoobies in/around/work in Newbury - one of my 1st days at my new work in Cold Ash (near Thatcham) I saw a load (not together) near one of the main roundabouts on the outside of the town (don't ask where). That was before I came to my senses and found a better route, avoiding the horrible traffic around there and getting onto the A4.
There's an Evo (or two?) I regularly see around as well, depending on what time I leave work. Anyone have vaguely regular weekday meets in pubs/places near Thatcham/Newbury (apart from the board-arranged ones) that I'd be allowed to turn up to?
For those times I don't feel like driving back home /just want a break, cos I don't know many people (read: er.. 1) around there having just started work in the area 2 months ago and you don't _always_ want to socialise with only colleagues from work, when even that happens.
