I actually spoke to them a couple of weeks ago, nice guys. The benefit of their 'unwired' version is that it can be removed on selling the car and it can be placed somewhere in the car where the thieves don't expect it ie porsche's own tracking system is always in the same place.
It also uses UHF as well as GSM, the latter can easily be blocked with a £10 device from ebay.
I already have already subscribed to the porsche tracking service just because its easy with the insurance company but may well get one of these as a second device. As I said the Porsche tracker is actually useless, its always in the same place and blocked with a £10 gadget.
Cheers

I'm not on anything. I follow the simple rule: trust but verify. Everyone else on this forum posts pics of their cars either doing something or parked up somewhere, never in a showroom.
While I'm on I thought I'd let you see a pic of my private jet. I'm sure you believe it's mine.
If no personal pics appear then I'm sure I won't be the only one holding the same thought. A simple pic of that car and its proud owner almost anywhere will do, even McDonalds car park. No wife or home necessary, that was just an example.
Yes, sadly I suspect you will be alone in this thought.
I find it strange that you'd even think this way to be honest. How very odd and insecure.
It's actually my new Porsche and Ding was just taking pictures for me. I appreciate his efforts to keep it as private as possible for me.
Pic of my new Porsche on my drive as proof for Paben.
Very Nice. I'll P/Shop my jet into my back garden, it should just fit if I shorten the wings a bit. I'll make sure there are no Japanese cars in view to spoil the picture though.
Must have left your keys outside of their Faraday cage again!
Honestly mate, this is stunning. I think I still prefer the colour of your last one, that looked lush. Someone else also thought so too unfortunately. But I do love a white car. Looks mint!
You'll have to post a pic of it parked in front of your council house just for Paben!
I doubt you'll find many owners who post pics of their cars while the car is still in the showroom, and this is a serious vehicle. I have many pictures of F1 cars, but to claim ownership of one while it was parked in a Ferrari or Mercedes pit garage would doubtless have heads shaking in disbelief. Were it to be pictured parked on my driveway with me, wife and cat sitting on it looking pleased with ourselves, now that would be an entirely different matter.
One pic on my drive (see my grey 991 pics and you'll see the same hedge and block paving) and one pic when I was out today. Sorry but I didn't fancy a McDonalds today.
Now these ARE NOT my cars but were at the dealers so I thought I'd share them because they looked lovely.
ahh but maybe you have photo shopped the car onto a pic of your drive ? and wheres your wife in the pic? and your dog and a placard with your address written on it for all to see? seriously m8 its a lovely car and if people cant understand why you dont want to post pics up beside your house after what happened to the 1st one then they really are retards. just enjoy it, your a lucky guy to have the opportunity to own one.
Don’t have to justify that you own the car mate
Paben is just a jealous fat bored **** who works security at his local sainsburys
He hates his life take no notice

Yours looks stunning in that pic, and the other one is more like what I'd be interested in... Singer is my all time fave though... lottery wish list number 1 purchase.
