Anyone got/had a new Focus RS?

There are 2 options of seats for the mk3 Focus RS the standard Recaro comfort seats and the Recaro CS bucket seats which where the same that where in the MK2 shape RS.
If the Recaro CS seats are like the mk2 Focus RS you have no height adjustment on the seat at all, but im guessing the standard comfort seats will have the adjustments and are the better seats for daily driving but dont look as cool as the Recaro CS seats!!!

Get a merc a45 amg. Mate has one and it's a lovely car. guy I know works for ford and he don't like the focus at all. He said the seats are uncomfortable, drift button is pointless and doesn't feel as quick as it should.

Well, an A45 AMG would be nice, but at almost £50k is more than I'd be willing to pay.
Plus Mercedes are limiting production to keep prices sky high I had this from a dealer in doncaster on Friday when the youngest went to look at one...which sold as he was sitting in it, so we didn't even get a drive.

I'm not a big fan of the interior tbh, only basic gauges, and all that carbon fibre and red shiny trim is a bit 90's. They do get slated for having almost the same interior as the basic models.
At least the Focus gets oil pressure, oil temperature and boost gauges.

I've considered one - plenty of info here http://www.focusrsoc.com/forums/foru...k3-discussion/
There are 143 for sale on Auto Trader at the moment. A lot of Dealers have stock available immediately (which is odd as some people have been waiting over a year for theirs) - cancelled orders etc.

I've had my mk3 RS since October.
I previously had my much loved 03 STi (well over 12 years from new!) that was running in excess of 420bhp so I was not expecting quite the performance - and I was right!
Now it's done 1700 miles and with the Mountune M380 kit and exhaust, it's a lot better but still not at the Scoob level. The nice, high geared steering however, is sharp and it's real 'point and go' I have to admit, I find the launch control and drift modes a bit gimmicky - there is nowhere on the public road or even a track day, where you could use these although I'm sure there may come a time when a random opportunity may arise! If these modes had been extra cost additions, I would not have specified them and saved money.
Overall, it's a nice car with lots of gadgets and gizmo's and after the interior of an 03 Impreza, it's a nicer place to be - certainly on a different level and the SYNC3 infotainment system is impressive.
If you're thinking of something other than a Scoob, it's well worth considering.

My dad picked his up a week ago and it's a lovely car to drive. We haven't really been able to push it to far because of running it in, so won't go over about 4.5k for the first 1000 miles. But even in that rev range, it's very fast.
We got the standard seats because the CS 1s are a bit to high, but also because the standard seat will also be more comfortable for everyday use and on long drives.

In the old fashioned way, no but it makes sense not to take it to the extremes in the early days (weeks?)
The RS has a first service schedule of 12 months/12.5k miles but many owners (including me) have done oil/filter change at around the 1k mile mark.

I also own a MK3 RS, really like it,
As JohnD says, it dont feel that fast compared to scoobs, power delivery is really smooth, saying that i did run mine at york raceway and managed 2 x 13.1 runs back to back, completely standard car with 2k miles on, not sure what a standard newage sti would run ??
I also own a hawkeye sti with some nice handling mods on and the RS is like night and day, handles far better than the scoob.
