Default How desirable is a basic wrx ra

Hi there been looking at wrx ra s one is 96 white with no electric windows central locking etc looks tidy with a phew mods but was thinking of putting back to standard

Are they more sort after due to basicness of themy and next to original.

Let me know your thoughts cheers

I had a MY2000 WRX Type RA WRC Ltd, granted it was no longer standard but the best Subaru I have owned by far. Wish I never sold it.

My MY97 WRX RA was epic. No CL, EW and not much sound deadening.
Loved it.

i would suggest in future years (and is starting to happen already) that an original car will become very desireable

I also wonder how the U.S. 25years import rule will affect prices? Do we think this will push prices up?

Classic STI's i bet it will, people are still making their RS's into reps of type R's even now.

young lad I know has just got a 99 wrx ra after having a blob wrx and says theres no way he'd go back to a newage. I think its the driving experience he wanted all along but was concerned about the age/condition of classics. He spent a lot of time looking for the right one and at 5k it wasnt cheap, but you cant get him out of it now and the best thing is he's keen to keep it as original as possible (vf29, tmic, blue front seats). He's currently refurbing a set of 17" p1wrc wheels in standard colour which will look nice on the 74F.

Its totally changed his approach to ownership, driving style, modifications etc and for someone under 30 that makes a refreshing change. Long live the RA
