Yep, as you say, I don't think the teins on it are anywhere near as harsh as some make out. Was mapped by TDR in Warwick, graph in the folder

I already have a Samsung galaxy tab 4 installed in my dash!

Can use it for streaming spotify, youtube and more to the stereo. Works a treat.

The only issue I found is that the smaller 7.1" Samsung tablets like this don't run USB on the go, which means I can't use it to run the BTSSM app and connect it to my ECU how I wanted. I really wanted to turn it into an in-car dyno and data logging/gauge app, but just can't connect the galaxy to the ECU due to this. Very annoying. I believe the Nexus has USB-OTG so this should be possible.

I may end up buying a nexus 7 too and swapping stereo locations so it's mounted in the top of the dash. Much better for the gauges in that location. For £35 that's a bargain!

I've already bought the KKL cable, OTG adaptors and BTSSM software, so seems a shame not to be able to use it.

Thats the plan mate.£35 for the pod off a forum and £35 for the nexus on ebay.got the rest of the stuff from amazon.the instsllation seems straight forward enough.i was reading the torque pro app needs an adjusment to get correct boost.something to do with altitude?

The torque pro app is ok, but not great. For £12.50 the BTSSM app is much better.

Also don't bother with the Bluetooth adaptor as the data transfer rate is very slow through Bluetooth. You're better off with a plugged in cable for data comms and the Forester for some reason doesn't work on standard ODB2 protocol. You'll need a KKL (VAG) cable with a USB-OTG adaptor to plug into the tablet. Using this you can fast capture data and even do your own dyno runs!

This is the one I bought. Works great.

Then just a normal USB-OTG cable to connect into the tablet (USB-A to micro USB)

It's a little annoying where it's plugged in to be honest and I've left mine plugged in all the time now and haven't knocked it once.

I'm quite sure it could be relocated out of the way. I may also investigate this.

The ODB2 port unclips from under the dash very easily indeed. Just un-clipped mine and moved it out of the way. Much better!

You really don't want to get rid of the original FSTI wheels, they are really rare and worth quite a bit now. Keep them to one side.

Asked torque gt about the exhaust today and looks like it's just the back box. But I've found out that it's got a turbo timer and a defi boost gauge.
