Default What grinder disc for underbody

Can anyone recomend what they found to be the best kind of disc for taking the underside of the car back to metal

Wipe petrol all over several times with a rag, scraper and chisel. Then go over it with a wire wheel.

The petrol helps soften it up and make it more peelable.

I find the strip and clean discs for angle grinder very good for cleaning rust and paint from metal, but would use a scraper on the thicker under sealed areas.

Seems everybody has there own opinion on this . Im going to try a wire wheel on the stone chip and a sanding flap wheel on the painted parts or one of these



Ive decided to take the gearbox out before i start so on the look out for a transmission jack .
