Default Another Sigma M30

My keyfob stopped working, pincode didn't work. Had car recovered to dealers where they disarmed the immobiliser. Was told it need a new keypad and alarm brain, but Subaru no longer stock the brain.
The red led on the dash flashes all the time now even when driving. The dealer covered it up with a bit of electrical tape!!! Professional.
They said they will remove the entire alarm free of charge after I complained.
Now can I use a second hand alarm brain and keep the sigma system?
Alternatively I was thinking about buying a toad system from Ebay and fitting it myself depending how easy it is. Any suggestions?

Subaru No longer stock the original alarm ecu but what they can do now is you can buy the later style sigma and upgrade your fobs to this and it will function
