Impreza Stolen
My 2006 2.0R Impreza was stolen last night. Thieves broke in through the back door and took the keys. Police have recovered the car and although I haven't seen it yet they reckon its undamaged.
My query is do I need to replace barrels, keys, immobiliser and alter the ECU or can I just get the immobiliser/remaining key remapped/recoded?
On an even more depressing note they also stole my wife's 09 Focus ST which was chased and crashed into a billboard. Looks like a write off. Thief managed to run away.
Any advice appreciated.

I would say that if they got away with the key(s) then you'd have to change the setup in the car, but if the police recovered the car and the key(s) then there shouldn't be a cause for concern.
If for any reason you feel that the security of the car has been compromised then change the setup and you'll be happier for it.
Sorry to hear about it all, stupid car thieves are idiots!
