Is the Blackjax illegal in the UK?

I’ve got a Clifford 500 with Blackjax but dealer said Sigma could have a ‘Blackjax’ option on their alarms but don’t do it because they say its illegal in the UK but not here in Ireland.
I find this hard to believe – is it true?
