Default Does the '04 Blobeye Auto Lock?

Hi All,

as per the title. Does the '04 Blobeye Auto Lock?

Have misplaced my key after working on the car. I dont rember locking and its locked.

Wondering if there is a chance its on the floor out of sight and a lot less of a costly job to sort!

Cheers

I think the alarm does have a auto lock option, it's a code input by dealer only.
My 04 has'nt had the auto lock code input, but it will occasionally lock it self 30 seconds after being unlocked. Hope your keys turn up.

"Auto Arm

THIS FEATURE IS TURNED OFF AT INSTALLATION,
but can be turned on by your SUBARU dealer. Auto Arm
will automatically arm the security system if the vehicle is accidentally
left unarmed " . From the 04 alarm booklet

I always leave a window down when keys are in it, as from time to time mine looks itself for no reason

more from the alarm booklet,

Security System Options.

1. Door open warning bleeps : Turned on at installation, but can be turned
off by your dealer.
2. Auto Arm : Turned off, but can be turned on by your dealer.
3. Auto Arm with door locking : Turned off, but can be turned on by dealer.
4. Auto Re-arm : Turned on at installation, but can be turned off by dealer,
this will automatically re-arm and double-lock a pre-set time of 60 seconds
from the system being disarmed by the transmitter, PROVIDED THAT NO
DOOR, BONNET OR BOOT HAS BEEN OPENED DURING THAT TIME.

UPDATE

Thanks for all who tried to help. I have now found my key, behind the back of a nursing chair in my 11 Months old room hmmmm I think someone has been playing hide and daddy go seek!

The alarm is standard to a '04 Blobeye and I can confirm that mine will auto lock itself after 58 seconds.

Cheers

Be Aware: Older imprezas (especially imports) can have a problem where the drivers door switch will not fully release. This makes the car think that the door hasn't been opened so it will start the auto arm and lock function.

Normally this happens the one time that you have left your keys in the ignition. This then leaves you stuck outside a locked and alarmed car with your spare keys safely left at home.
If you do activate it, you need to get in the habit of never, ever leaving your keys in the car. If your working on it in the garage, make sure your front windows are down... Just in case..
