Default Sigma Alarm error

Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction, but the problem i am having with my alarm which is attached to my 99 Subaru Imprea RB5 is that when I lock the car I have approx 12-15secs before the alarm goes off, for which i would then click the fob button just once and it shuts up keeping the car locked.

Now if I lock the car using the key no alarm goes off...???

Anyone got any ideas??

Usually a sign of the battery on its way out (the big one under the bonnet as opposed to the small ones in the keyfob!! )

I had this (and a few others I know on the club) a few years ago .... alarm would go off a short while after being set .... I ended up just locking the car without setting the alarm. After asking around, got a nice new battery, and the problem never reoccurred!!

Cheers the code... Unfortunately last night, in the pourin rain, my alarm suddenly started goin off and it wouldn't stop, it just kept going off. I opend the car with the key and put it into the ignition to see if that would stop the alarm but it didn't, I did however notice that my dial lights were very dim, so my initial thought was dead/low battery. What I have now done is removed the battery to stop the siren going off and allow my neighbours to get some sleep, and I will be giving the battery a test tomorrow.

Might be related, but mine was constantly going off and in the end i removed the siren. Upon opening the siren a lot of water came out which could have been the problem, have yet to replace the siren.

To start with unplug bonnet switch and test alarm if all ok you may need to replace switch
