what would you recommend as a good budget cat2 alarm for my bro's bird's saxo? looking for something less than 75 quid ideally, thanks.

Cat 2 is an immobiliser, but you'll struggle to find anybody to install one for £75. Saxo's normally come with a cat 2 as standard anyway. The early ones came with a keypad and the later cars come with a transponder. Why don't you buy her something decent for an early X-Mas present !

I don't think you'll find there is much to look for as AFAIK the data chip is in the key and the immoboliser part of the ECU hence there's nothing visable (at least thats the case with my Missus' Saxo).

aha this is what we have here also, thanks. so it does have an immobiliser, we just need an alarm.
