Default Car Alarm Gone Chips - New one Today!

Hi Folks

After owning my scoob for 6 months the so called cat 1 alarm system has packed up on me 2 weeks ago i never liked Laserline & had issues with one i had fitted to a Astra i had when i was 18 (now 32) so vowed never to have another!

Anyhow, 1st scoob had a Toad AI606, then i had an FTO which i had the clifford fitted with remote start at stupid costs

Now i am going back to Toad - having the AI606 with remote start & the proximity sensor @ a bargain price. Safe 'n' sound are fitting at my works in Mid-cheshire & they are travelling from Wakefield with no extra costs for fuel/time & they are not even charging me for the removal of the Lazyline

Obviously comes with the certificate of CAT 1 & lifetime warranty (or as long as i have the car)

Just can not wait to have it all parked up knowing it is safe!

How is the alarm at the moment mate hopfully no problems? I am currently going to have my car done with this guy quoted me £330 for a toad Ai606 with engine start and 4 windows full closure.

Is the alarm running good at the moment and how is the engine start (nice option in my opinion). Maybe add a proximity sensor no sure yet but let me know if it is worth adding the proximity sensor.

5 hours to fit a cat 1 with extras is about right, unless there bodging it in just above the pedals, fitting a cat 1 to the correct requirements takes time remember it's someones elses pride n joy and they expect the best install possable, when i do an impreza if i had a full day i would use it, when i fitted mine i removed the entire interior, including the dash

whenever we do a cat 1 at work i normally allow a full day for 1 person with someone helping out fitting the little bit eg siren, sonics, led, boot wire or any other bits.ive seen lots of really bad installs in my time by so called pros that have been fitting for years they just fit and run especialy if mobile.so i make sure the customer gets the best fit possible.
if the job goes well with no problems then all is good and i get some time back to get other work done if not it doesnt matter!but to be honnest there isnt to many cars that need cat 1s nower days so its nice to do one!when i put the alarm on mine it took 2 weeks!!

Finally had the alarm fitted, everything is great did a really good job no wires can be seen, as he has worked on quite a few subarus he took 5 hours full installed. The only thing is he hopped a fuse and that took out some electric items in the car but a simple fix.
