Sigma Locks but Not Unlocks?

Hi
Just got a 2002 WRX with standard Subaru Sigma alarm imobiliser.
I am able to lock car with alarm remote but have to unlock with key and turm alarm off with alarm remote.
Has anyone got any ideas, it would be good to just unlock with the alarm fob aswell as lock.
