Default Clifford 600 alarm not responding

I have a clifford concept 600 alarm fitted to my Scooby, in the last week it has chosen not to respond to the remotes. Tonight I gotnew batteries for bot companion remotes and the master remote. After fitting a battery to one of the remotes the alarm operated as required at a number of locations. When I arrived home nothing worked, so I fitted the other new batteries to the two remaining remote both did nothing. Got the car started using valet mode and went for a drive. A few miles from my house all worked fine, so I drove towards my house stopping on route to make sure things still worked, they did. I even stopped within 20 feet of a phone mast still worked, one dealer reckons it could be the alarm ariel and that I had parked in a blind spot for the phone mast. Does this sound reasonable or a load of cobblers trying to get me to spend some cash?
Thanks for your help Steve

Problem solved!!
The remote control for the conservatory fan/light was causing the interference. Once turned off car alarm works .
