Standard alarm issue on STi
Hello folks , I wonder if any of you could give me some help with my standard alarm on my 03 STi.
It is a hit or a miss whether my keyfob will open the doors or lock the doors?
Some days it works fine other days i have to use my key in the lock.
I have tried both my key fobs and the results are the same regardless , so i think i can rule out any battery issues or key fob problems.
Also are these subject able to problems when in close proximity to a wireless router ? I know this sounds daft but there is a wireless router straight thru the wall from my garage and i have a found that when and if my alarm wants to work its more than likely when my car is out the garage ?
I know that sounds weird.
Any help would be with the greatest of thanks.

So, when away from home then I guess your alarm arms/disarms OK?
The sigma man on here I'm sure will put you straight
I didn't think that cars of that age suffered from the problem.
I know that I've not had problems with either of my 02 & 05 STI's.
I did have problems on an MY00 car though.

Thanks for the reply urban , More or less if the keyfob operates the alarm, then yes its when the car is away from my garage at home.
However i got to work thismorning and still had to use the key in lock approach.
If the Sigma guru is reading this forum i would be hopeful that he could point me in the right direction for a remedy or things to check over.
Regards in Advance.
Chris.
