Question Alarm going off when starting my classic

Hi guys, when I start my classic it seems to be struggling to turn over taking a good couple of secs, it also sounds the alarm whilst turning over.
I know a cold morning can cause problems but I've had this happening for a while now and like I say the alarm goes off too, only a bit of a chirp but its getting embarrassing now.
I'm thinking it could be the battery? getting it serviced soon so maybe get a new one.

it's the battery. The chirp is happening because the voltage is dropping too low and the alarm is powering down then back up again.

Change the battery and everything will be fine.

Mine has been doing this for about 3 winters now, I know I am on borrowed time with the battery - I just charge it up through the winter each weekend and it gets it through.

The summer is no problem.

The best bet is to get a new battery. If your battery is failing then your alternator is being put under extra load. In the end you will need a new battery and alternator which will cost a whole lot more than just a battery
