can the alarm be re-adjusted so that it bleeps when the alarm is set rather than bleeps when a door, boot etc is not closed properly and you try to set the alarm. Seems completly about face as it is, I have to keep checking that I have set it?

You can do it, its option 6 or 7 on the keypad.

Key in, ignition on, press alarm button, press number on keypad, turn off ignition.

Sorry, but can't remember the exact number though so you may need a bit of trial and error

Hope that helps,
Cheers
Neil.
