Default Alarm immoboliser Query

I have the Sigma alarm on my 01 Bug eye WRX. I have just reprogrammed the spare key fob as it was not working using instructions I found in the search facility. However the key fob I just programmed does not seem to deactivate the immoboliser. The original key works fine. Is there something in the keys themselves that need to be programmed?

hi mate i had a lot of trouble with my imm ( sigma ) in 2000 classic wagon the key is about £70 from subaru and is coded to the best of my knowledge, my imm kept losing the signal there policestations and the car would nt deactiviate the imm. i took my fob the a subaru garage there me and they charged me £80 for the fob and setting it to the car, but now i have to get a new alarm cause apparently u can t change the frequency there on,so will keep fooking up on my car.
