The alarm on my 95 wrx keeps going off for no aparent reason!!Its bloody annoying and its got me on edge! the wire leading to the alarm under the bonnet looks like it been cut slightly, would this cause it to keep going off? should i get the wire changed or just use some tape to see if it makes a difference?

 

what alarm is it?

the wire under the bonnet is probably the bonnet switch wire, if this touches anything that is earthed while it is armed then that will set the alarm off

 

reckon you were right buddy, have stopped it flapping around now and it seems to be fine, cheers for the tip off
