Thanks for the responses
I was looking at either the Toad or the Clifford. Will probably go for the Toad as I don't think I can justify spending over £500 for the Clifford system (Intelliguard 950 G5).
Has anyone bought from Car Alarms UK Ltd - are they any good?
Thanks again.

I had a G5 950, loved it to bits No problems with it.
You really dont need to go all out though to get a good Clifford.
350 and 650 are both good spec. Can always ask the fitter to change or add sensors.
Headlight activation, remote start, smart windows, digi tilt and motion sensor, omni sensor, dual zone prox were all on my 950.
I would definatly say choose a DEI product. Viper, Avital, Clifford all the same umbrella company.
Got a few mates who do fitting too depending where you are.
PS I have had Cliffords on my last 4 cars, never a problem.

All Cat 1 systems are now similar. If you want something standard then go for toad or avital. If you want something with gadgets then go for Clifford or Viper. The Clifford C650 comes standard with Blackjax anti-hijack and warnaway Prox and the viper comes standard with a LCD 2 way pager system. Both can be added with the turdo timer option.

Personally I would mate, but then im a sucker for brand loyalty lol.
Like I say look at the 3 and 650's both are Cat 1 from recollection.
You can have it as simple or trick as you want

Blimey, your quite right
Wierd that, they seem to have gone from a best selling G4 300 to either the Arrow or 450... Confuddled the hell out of me now
Have a look on Clifford - Vehicle Security | Remote Start | GPS Tracking and check the specs to what suits you best dude
Since I last went on there, or had an alarm fitted it appears a LOT has changed !
Dunno if I like the new style remotes !!

also have a look at the new viper colour remote fob and tell your mate to do a demonstration on the fob. Check out the cool pic when it does remote start and glass break. Im having this system installed on my car asap.
