Sigma T3 Alarm

Sigma T3 Alarm
I am looking for information on the Sigma 3T alarm system, as dealer-fitted to a '95 BMW M3. I have seen from previous posts that there appears to be Sigma alarm experts on this forum, so hopefully you may be able to help me.
My car alarm fob no longer works as it has a flat battery, and I am looking for information on replacing the fob or battery. The alarm was fitted in the UK, and I have since moved to Australia (with the car) and the BMW dealer here has never seen this alarm system. They have advised me that the fob will need to be replaced and reprogrammed, which they cannot do.
Does anybody have any information that may help me with this situation.
Thanks.

This could be tricky.
The BMW 3T system was supplied to BMW (GB) only as a dealer fitted accessory, so little wonder your Australian dealer is a little confused!
Unfortunately the system is based on a Sigma SG-Series unit which requires a specialist programmer tool (which the UK dealers have) to program new Remotes to the system.
The Radio key that you require are still available although the sealed "domino" type that I suspect you have has been superceded to allow the batteries to be changed. Ideally the Radio Key that you require is a AC38 (although this will not be badged BMW).
Obviously, bringing the car back to the UK to have new Radio Keys programmed to the system is not an option, so it may be cost effective in this instance to purchase the programmer tool and keys and do the programming yourself.
If you PM me I can advise further.
