The repeated bleeping that you heard when arming were the "Door Open Warning Bleeps" these indicate that a door, boot or the bonnet is not fully closed, or that the pin switch on one of these circuits is broken (most likely the bonnet where it is most exposed).
Check that all the doors etc are fully closed, the interior and boot lamps are not staying on and the condition of the bonnet switch. If the problem still persists or a switch is indeed damaged, then to enable you to still arm the system without it triggering either disconnect the wire from the rear of the switch, if accessible, or carry out the following:

With the ignition "on" before exiting the car press the 0 button on the keypad, then turn the ignition "off" within 5 seconds. When you next arm the system it will ignore the last circuit that generated an alarm condition (ie the faulty switch). You will have to repeat this process every time before you arm the system to prevent the "warning Bleeps" sounding and then the alarm triggerring, until you can get the switch replaced, but it should see you through the weekend without having to leave the vehicle without the alarm.

Important
Having entered the 80 and 81 function codes you will now have returned all your system's settings to factory default - the "Door Open Warning Bleeps" will no longer be heard (although the alarm will still trigger after 30 seconds) and the ultrasonic sensors will be too sensitive and could cause false triggers. A number of standard Subaru features will also have been deleted.
To return the system to the correct settings carry out the following procedure:

Arm then disarm the system with the Radio Key.
Type the following within 30 seconds
*17856*80# (resets system to a known default)
*01*1# (turns the "Door Open Warning" feature back on)
*05*1# (turns the "Auto Re-Arm" feature back on)
*20*55# (adjusts the ultrasonic sensors to the required sensitivity)
# (exits programming mode)

The alarm systems PIN will not have been altered by entering the default codes.

When using the keypad always observe the following points:
- The sequence should not be entered too quickly or too slowly - when a digit has been pressed the small LED built into the keypad will illuminate briefly as confirmation and only then should the next digit be entered.
- If an incorrect digit is pressed or the delay between entering digits exceeds10 seconds, then the LED above the keypad will flash rapidly and the PIN attempt should be abborted and started again after 30 seconds.
- Due to the small size of the keypad some users may find a rubber tipped pencil easier to use. DO NOT use the sharp tip of a ball point pen etc, or press excessively hard on the keypad as this will only damage the membrane and cause a digit to remain pressed, causing a continual incorrect PIN.
- The keypad allows only THREE PIN attempts and then will "Lock Up" if an incorrect number is entered a third time. This is a security feature to prevent random PIN attempts disarming the system.

Hope this helps.
