Default Location of security keypad

Apologies if this is the wrong forum but I wonder if anyone can tell me the location of the alarm keypad, it's on a Legacy 3.0R Spec B MY06, I've looked in the glovebox but all there is is the Satnav DVD, my previous impreza had in this location, any ideas please?

Many thanks, the thing is I already looked there, but into the hole rather than on the lid, IYSWIM. Talk about looking and not seeing.

Thanks for making this information public

When my car gets stolen by someone who knows where the override keypad is, I'll know where he got the information from.

Like knowing where it is will really help them out! Unless you write the PIN on a post-it and stick next to it.

Quite right.... there is no way that knowing the location of the keypad is going to be of any help to a potential thief.
I understand the concern, but I will not disclose any information in either a post, or PM that I feel would compromise the systems security.

Rest assured that it is impossible to overide the security system simply by cutting or crossing any of the wires that run to the keypad.
Only entering the correct PIN will disarm the system. Further more, you only have three attempts to enter the correct PIN code - after the third incorrect PIN attempt all further attempts are ignored for 30 minutes.
I'll let you calculate the total number of possible combinations possible from 4-digits (never mind the time it would take to try these - bearing in mind this 30 minute delay), but suffice to say it's secure enough for your bank-card and satisfies all Thatcham testing.

The only time that the location of the keypad will help anyone, is if they already have the system's PIN. Unfortunately, from the posts I see on the web, even the vehicle's owner is rarely aware of the systems correct PIN.
