Question Security Posts

Just wondered if anyone had looked into them? They seem to be around £95 - £250 but I need to get it fitted. Does anyone know of such a service/company?

Thanks Mike

Are they telescopic? I.e. drop into the ground?

Have a look at Autoloks's range, http://www.autolok.co.uk/ or the Rhino range of posts - used by most garages. Both fairy simply but time consuming to fit. IMHO best to pay a builder to fit one as if you hit a electricity cable / gas / water pipe work and break it your are liable, a builder has insurance to cover this. Some of the post have to be buried pretty deep.

The Rhino posts are telescopic but they need a hole something like 8" square by 2' to 3' deep digging (unless you're built like a gorilla then your arms aren't long enough to get the muck out of the bottom of the hole ) and this is just for the "home" sized ones - commercial ones are bigger and heavier. Check what mass you can lift as some of the brick outhouse commercial ones got as much as 17kg AFAIR - not good for the faint-hearted... They fasten with a barrel lock rather than a padlock.
