as per the title really is it able to do it or can you buy a toad unit that will plug into it and do it?

 

The AI606 does have the facility for the transmitter to switch a "Remote Start" unit and by-passes the necessary alarm circuts when activated - if so programmed. An output from the AI606 is connected to a separate "Remote Start" unit which has to be added (required to actually crank the vehicle and supply the neccessary safety inputs).
It should be noted however, that fitting a "Remote Start" unit will void the Thatcham approval of the AI606 (as the passive arming Thatcham immobiliser has to be by-passed by the "Remote Start" unit to allow the engine to run). In addition it is an offence in the UK to leave a vehicle with the engine running in a public place.
For these legislative reasons Toad do not sell a "Remote Start" unit, to avoid liabilty, although units are available from other manufacturers at your own risk.

Are you really sure that is correct !!!
If the vehicle is left running with the keys in the ignition - maybe. But with the vehicle locked with no keys in ...different story.
