Default Valet code for new fob on Clifford G4

My scooby has a Clifford G4 fitted but only had one key fob when i got the car, i would like another to act as a spare. I can get a fob easy enough, but my local Clifford dealer says that as i don't have a valet code they will have to strip out the entire system send it to Clifford have it reprogrammed and then reinstall it. As you can imagine they want an arm and a leg to do it, and my car would have to go up to 8 weeks without an alarm which just ain't happening. I find it hard to believe that it can't be done easier than that. Any ideas?

do you have the manual for the alarm?
Mines got a sticker on the back with the valet code on.
Can you contact the previous owner, or the place where the alarm was installed?

Thanks for that Guys, i knew he was talking trash. The previous owner didn't have the manual, valet code or even the certificates. But, as he is a VISB installer by trade he certified it himself. I think he has Cliffnet so it is an option to take it back to him, but he is 100+ miles away. I assume that the codes on the back of the keyfob have no relevance to the valet code?

Thanks for your help.

I have made some suggestions on a PM. Wizard 1.2 will not help you in this situation as somebody suggested.

Worst case scenario your dealer can unplug the control unit (30 min job) not uninstal the whole system and send it to us to retrieve the code. As this is a Thatcham approved unit then we will fast track things our end.
